How does it work?
When the white noise generator is paired with the transducers and speakers, it produces a low level audible interference by creating vibrations onto the surface of the walls in the protected space. The speaker creates audible interference to prevent sound and voice leaks through the air, insert the speaker in the voids, cavities and ventilations systems. If any form of eavesdropping devices are used it will block the voices and instead it will pick up and relay back the vibrational and audible white noise created by the complete audio security device DNG-2300, TD-2300 and SP-2300.
Where do I place the speaker?
Place the SP-2300 Omnidirectional Acoustic Speaker in ventilation shafts, space behind the drop ceiling and other voids leading outside the protected space. Ventilation makes it easy for sound to escape a private space and easy covert placement for counter surveillance devices. Sound carries through the air in the vents which can be picked up remotely or by placing a microphone in these easily accessed spots. When it comes to the space behind drop ceilings, the sound distributes in all directions, therefore all conversations inside the private space can be picked up easily under the drop ceiling. Eavesdropping devices can be placed in ceilings by drilling a hole in a ceiling or partition. That’s why it’s important to place the SP-2300 in open airways to create audio interference so that the sound that’s picked up by these devices is unuseable.
What if it doesn’t fit in my space?
The SP-2300 is assembled from 3 speakers, each of them can be used separately for smaller voids. Disassemble the SP-2300 by removing the triangle holders, cut the cables and place the separate speakers where necessary and then connect again in series.
How many do I need?
You’ll want to have a good spread of transducers and speakers amongst the wall space, the number will depend on the size and construction of the room. You can connect up to 12 speakers per noise generator. 1 speaker per 32 square feet. See example below.
SPEAKER OUTPUT
The output power is divided between the speakers, so when there are more connected, each unit will receive less power. Based on the number of speakers connected will determine the power level. The DNG-2300 can minimally handle 8 Ohm per channel. When there are more speakers connected, the higher the volume needs to be set.
